The AP9, shipped from The Home Depot, incudes a Free Extra Battery adding 25 additional minutes of flying time. Everything you need to start flying today is included and ready to help you start flying right out of the box.

 

Included with the quadcopter is a wireless controller (TX) that has an operational range approaching 1000 feet (300 m) line-of-sight. Using the supplied mount, you can attach your smartphone on the transmitter to enjoy the first-person view on the app when you add any S-class AEE camera. That means you get a heads-up display directly from the camera’s point-of-view.

 

For the GoPro fans, AP9 includes a GoPro mount, allowing you to add any of the Hero cameras from GoPro. You will not get the FPV with GoPro, but a great platform for capturing stunning video.

 

When you are ready to upgrade to a fully-integrated camera on a 3-axis gimbal delivering 1080p 60fps, you can do so cost-effectively with the upgrade kit available from AEE. Everything you need including new battery, gimbal, camera, landing gear, and Wi-Fi extender, are included in the upgrade package.

 

The TORUK AP9 provides a GPS-based navigation system to maintain flight stability and return to base features. Full manual operation is available if you want to learn how to control your drone without technical aids, thereby improving your long-term skill set.

Features

Ready-to-Fly Design

Those used to other RC aircraft will note the TORUK AP9 requires only basic assembly using a screw driver and supplied wrench. You will just need to attach the rotors, skids, and a few other small parts. Once assembled you will need to follow a few calibration steps to ensure correct operation of the GPS autopilot system. After that you’ll be ready to fly.

Compatible with AEE and GoPro Action Cameras

AEE TORUK AP9 features camera frame accessories specially designed for both AEE and GoPro action cameras. With the latest anti-shaking design, the cameras will record videos and take pictures at the best quality.

AEE action cameras feature Wi-Fi networks with a Wi-Fi transmission range that reaches up to 1000m. That means you can easily control the camera on the app or with the remote control. Instead of traditional wearable action cameras, AP9 will be your action camera that flies, records unbelievable views, and lets you explore more than you can imagine.

Normal and GPS Flight Modes

The TORUK AP9 has two flight modes for you to choose from. Of the two, GPS Mode is the most automatic. Quadcopter will stop as soon as you release the controls and stay hovering at a fixed horizontal and vertical position. This setting is the easiest to fly and is generally preferred for shooting video as the Quadcopter won’t sway or drift because of light wind gusts.

Slot-In Battery with LED Status Indicators

A 6400 mAh battery slots into the “tail” of the TORUK AP9 and enables up to 25 minutes of flying time. It features and on/off switch and LCD battery level. For recharging, balance and power regulation is handled internally within the battery itself. You simply plug it into a wall outlet with the supplied power cord and you are good to go.

Included Remote Control Unit

The TORUK AP9 features an included 915 MHz RF remote transmitter, with dual toggle joystick controls similar to the kind found on other multi-rotor RC aircraft. The left stick controls throttle (up/down) and yaw (essentially rotation). And the right stick controls roll (side-to-side tilt) and pitch (tilting the nose up or down). A switch on the top right lets you choose between different flights modes. The control unit also features a detachable mount for holding your smartphone.

Return to Home Failsafe

If the Quadcopter loses the signal from the controller for any reason the “return to home” feature will initialize. The aircraft will ascend to 60 feet then make a straight-line course back to the “home position”. Once there, it will safely descend to the ground and power itself off.

*To enable the Return to Home functionality, AP9 should get GPS signal before taking off.

AEE iOS and Android App

The TORUK AP11 App for iOS and Android Smartphones provide many functions apart from just video recording, picture capturing and monitoring. It controls the gimbal and the camera in all positions, the information of the flight; the battery level and the status of the camera are all displayed on the APP.

LED status light on the struts of the TORUK AP9 provides you with various feedback as well as warnings. Colors alternate between green and red and can either be flashing or solid. These messages give you valuable information such as whether the Gyro system is properly calibrated, warning you the battery is getting low.

Self-Tightening Rotor

The TORUK AP9 features a rotor design that is new for this model. There is no longer a separate prop nut and the threading is designed to be self-tightening, so there is no danger of a loose prop coming off in flight.
