It is hard to imagine that we started this newsmagazine back in May 2015 when the Phantom 2 was a new, exciting introduction to the drone world.

Today, ESPN is broadcasting drone races and industries across the globe are adapting drones for commercial applications of all kinds.

In the months to come, DroneFutures.org will focus our editorial efforts on the business side of the drone industry.  We want to share with our readers the companies whose main focus is drones: How they started, their customer base, sales, hurdles and outlook for the future.

We will continue to highlight new products and especially services that empower owner UAV operators to improve the quality and profitability of their businesses.

Eric’s corporate experience began with Logitech Inc. managing all major U.S retail accounts with sales in excess of $25 million dollars a year.  Eric pioneered the introduction of Logitech peripherals in retailers such as Costco, Walmart, Target, Sears, Best Buy, Sam’s, BJ’s and many other national retailers.

Eric is active in the non-profit world implementing innovative educational options for at risk youth in the Lee County School district in Southwest Florida.  Launched in October 2014, The Academy, a partnership with Olympia Track Club Academy, is pioneering a 2 year program focused on changing the culture within the Ft. Myers black and Latino communities using youth sports as the motivator to drive academic excellence.  In the first year, The Academy students are expected to be at or above grade level in math and reading (some for the first time since 3rd grade) by the start of the 2015 school year.  The two year test will prove that these students have been neglected for years and are fully capable of achieving at the highest level given the opportunity.
